Stainless Steel Dog Bowls
These bowls are the most enduring of the lot and are also dishwasher-safe. They sometimes have a non-skid rim which prevents spilling. Disadvantage stainless steel bowls is the lack of choice as per the designs and colors. But, these are practical and inexpensive.

Elevated dog bowls consist of two plastic, ceramic or stainless steel bowls in a stand. The stand could be made of metal, wood or plastic. This type of bowl may be more comfortable for some dogs, especially large dogs. If your dog has a tendency to paw at his bowl, you need to be careful to the placement of the bowl to avoid tipping. These bowls tend to be expensive, but are worth the price.

Automatic dog bowls are attached to a container, which is generally made of plastic. These are meant to keep your dog's bowl full as long as there is food or water in the storage compartment. These bowls may be a great for keeping water available to your dog, but they are not good for use with dog food. They are also not good if you want to keep your dog on fixed a diet.
Travel Dog Bowls
Travel dog bowls are a great way to store food and feed you dog while on the move. These are made of polyester or similar fabric with a plastic or nylon liner. These are portable as can be easily folded up or collapsed to smaller sizes once empty. Travel dog bowls are not very expensive and totally worth when you are travelling with your dog. |
